Bilateral radicular cyst mimicking dentigerous cyst: a case report

Objectives: The aim of this case report is to describe radiographically the specific features periapical cysts differentiate them from dentigerous cyst lesions despite their similar clinical appearance.
 Case Report: A 21-year-old female patient came Dental Hospital in Bandung with a referral for cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) examination diagnosis suspected right mandibular and left cyst. said that during past month, swelling had appeared on both sides jaw, which was getting bigger, pain intermittent, it disturbing when eating. Intraoral showed gingival enlargement, muccobucal fold disappeared. Extraoral examination, facial asymmetry found due unilateral swelling. Radiographic examinations were oval, unilocular, radiolucent internal structures an average density 4.7-32 HU resembling soft tissue density, corticated or radiopaque borders, caused expansion corpus buccally lingually mesial distal, cortical thinning displacement inferior canal.
 Conclusion: Lesions jaws have almost same appearance, but through CBCT type lesion can be well determined. Periapical large size has appearance like lesions, will show different picture.
